Overestimated expectations... ...the one who says they're the motivation to criticize the show will be right, but he'll be wrong to say that that's why the criticism is biased. It's a funny paradox, but it's double-edged. On the one hand, really, we can say that it's just an adaptation that the series doesn't have to exactly repeat the original. On the other hand, without a close acquaintance with the original viewer will not be able to appreciate and half of what is happening on the screen, and with this acquaintance - can not be completely abstracted from the original, all comparisons with which is not in favor of the series.
I myself am well acquainted not only with the literary cycle, but also with computer games on it, and before watching it I tried to maximize abstraction from both the first and second. In the end, I cannot close my eyes to three problems, each of which will cost the project one point. First of all, tolerance, the desire to please all sorts of minorities, resulting in the fact that in the middle of the winter European forest, the protagonist instead of driads meets a tribe of African aborigines in the native loincloths.
This tolerance manifests itself in everything, but it hits the casting hardest - I could have turned a blind eye to black elves or dark-skinned Vigo Fringilla if she was beautiful. Trying to avoid sexual lenses is not only disgusting, but also ridiculous, because here sorcerers have to be not just beautiful, but perfect - this is not a fetish, but a logical plot solution. Unfortunately, with the exception of Tissai de Vries, who stands a few mansions due to his position, only one Sabrina Glevissig looks quite attractive. The hardest thing to come to terms with was the gypsy version of Triss Merigold, who, like Freingilla, is potentially not just a sorceress, but also the mistress of the protagonist.
The last problem I can't turn a blind eye to is the screenwriters. It is often relatively appropriate, as in the combination of the Battle of Sodden Hill and the screening of the story "Something More", but most often spoils the plot. "The edge of the world" is greatly reduced, which prevented the story about the elven people, although at the expense of this story was told the prehistory of Jennifer, treated even worse with Doppler. Instead of filming the story "Eternal Flame" they were exposed to inadequate maniacs by analogy with the plot "Perfumer.
Taking into account all the above it is difficult to praise the project, and it, despite everything, is not only good, but also has a serious potential for development, because in the first season we are shown only the background of the main plot, as well as the first two books of the cycle only introduce the reader to the world and key characters. This is exactly what the creators deserve praise for: not only beautiful natural species, sex and violence in abundance, but also the world itself, its atmosphere adapted at least worthily.
With the main characters, not everything is so unambiguous, of the four key characters is flawless except Chiri. Henry Cavill as Heralt from Rivia and Anya Chalotra as Jennifer from Wengerberg are noticeably different from the original, but this is compensated for by how organic their roles are and how organic they are with each other, best demonstrated by the adaptation of "Last Wish". I agree that Anya Chalotra is not as good as Jennifer, but she is good at paired with Cavill, which is more important than her appearance.
Wilgeforz, the main antagonist of the original, is dull and unsightly, but it's not a bad thing. If I understood the writers' idea correctly, the character will be developed gradually, which may be a good solution. I hope also that in the second season there will be a place for screening, at least in the format of side adventures of Heralt, stories "Crunch of Truth" (it is important for the atmosphere), "The voice of reason" (introduces the order of "White Rose" and the cult of the goddess Melitele) and, especially, the story "A little sacrifice" - one of the best stories of the original cycle. "The Ice Shard" seems to have already been confirmed indirectly in an interview with Henry Cavill, but at the end of the season I was rather satisfied, albeit with a few reservations, so I'm waiting to continue and believe in its success.
In order to install your own wallpaper on your iPhone and iPad, you need to select "All Photos" and navigate through the media library to install a downloaded wallpaper from the Internet. As soon as it is selected, a menu of its approval will appear. Here you can choose the "Screensaver" or "Perspective" effects. The second option moves the picture slightly across the screen when your iPhone or iPad tilts in space.
After pressing the "Set" button, a mini-menu with options will appear: "Lock Screen", "Home Screen" and "Both screens". It's simple here. If you want to install new wallpaper at once on your home screen and lock screen, you should choose the last third option, and in other cases - any other option at your discretion. After clicking on the desired option, in a few seconds, the new wallpaper will be installed in the selected places.
